Banff Caribou Properties ("BCP," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the personal information entrusted to us.
This Privacy Policy explains how Banff Caribou Properties collects, uses, discloses, protects and retains personal information in connection with our websites, accommodations, restaurants, spas, guest services, reservations, marketing activities, employment opportunities and other services.
By interacting with BCP, including visiting our websites, making a reservation, staying at one of our properties, contacting us, subscribing to communications or otherwise providing personal information to us, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
1. Who We Are
Banff Caribou Properties is a hospitality company operating accommodations, restaurants, spas and other hospitality services in Banff and the surrounding area.
This Privacy Policy applies to information collected by BCP through our corporate website, BanffCaribouProperties.com, as well as through our related business operations and services.
Certain third-party websites and services used to make reservations, process payments, apply for employment or access other services may have their own privacy policies. Those policies may apply in addition to this Privacy Policy.

"Personal information" generally means information about an identifiable individual.
Depending on your relationship with BCP and how you interact with us, we may collect information such as:

Reservation and stay information

Reservations may be made directly with BCP or through third-party booking and distribution platforms. Information received through those platforms may be subject to both this Privacy Policy and the privacy policy of the applicable third party.
Payment information
Payment information may be collected when you purchase accommodations, food and beverage, spa services, gift cards or other products or services.
Payment card transactions are processed through applicable payment systems and providers. BCP does not retain payment card information longer than necessary for legitimate business, transaction, accounting, legal or regulatory purposes.

When you visit a BCP website, we may automatically collect certain technical and usage information, which may include:

You can withdraw your consent to marketing communications at any time by using the unsubscribe or preference-management link included in our marketing emails or by contacting us.
Withdrawing consent to marketing communications does not affect your receipt of necessary transactional or service-related communications, such as reservation confirmations, changes or other communications required to provide a service you have requested.
BCP currently uses email for marketing communications. If additional communication channels, such as SMS, are introduced in the future, BCP will use those channels in accordance with applicable privacy and electronic communications laws.
6. Cookies, Analytics And Advertising Technologies
BCP uses cookies and similar technologies to operate, understand and improve its websites and to support analytics, advertising and marketing activities.
These technologies may collect information about your browser, device, website activity and interactions with BCP websites.
Depending on the website and technology in use, BCP may use services and technologies provided by third parties including:

BCP uses customer relationship management and marketing technology to manage guest communications and relationships.
BCP currently uses Mailchimp for certain email marketing activities and is transitioning to Revinate beginning November 1, 2026.
Information from BCP's reservation systems and other business systems may be provided to customer relationship management and marketing platforms for purposes including:
- Managing guest communications;
- Sending marketing communications;
- Managing communication preferences;
- Segmenting audiences;
- Understanding booking and communication history;
- Sending post-stay communications;
- Measuring campaign performance; and
- Providing more relevant offers and communications.
BCP may change its technology providers from time to time as business requirements evolve.

BCP does not sell personal information for monetary consideration.
We may disclose personal information where reasonably necessary to provide services, operate our business, fulfill transactions, comply with legal obligations or for other purposes permitted by applicable law.

Employment applications submitted through BCP's employment opportunities are processed through Dayforce.
Personal information provided as part of an employment application may include contact information, employment history, qualifications, education, references and other information necessary to assess and administer employment opportunities.
Employment application information is used for recruitment, hiring and related employment purposes and to satisfy applicable legal requirements.
Information submitted through third-party employment platforms may also be subject to the privacy policy of the applicable platform.
12. Video Surveillance and Property Security
For the safety and security of guests, employees and property, BCP locations may use video surveillance systems.
Video surveillance may be monitored live and recorded.
Recorded surveillance information is generally retained for up to 90 days, unless a longer retention period is reasonably necessary for an investigation, legal matter, insurance matter, security incident or other legitimate purpose.
Surveillance information may be disclosed to law enforcement, emergency services, regulators or other authorized parties where required or permitted by law.
Video surveillance is used for security, safety, incident investigation and related legitimate purposes.
13. Protecting Personal Information
BCP takes reasonable administrative, technical and physical measures designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, collection, use, disclosure, copying, modification, loss, theft or destruction.
The safeguards used may include measures appropriate to the sensitivity of the information and the circumstances in which it is collected, stored, used or disclosed.
No method of transmission or electronic storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure. BCP cannot guarantee the absolute security of information transmitted to or through its websites or electronic systems.
14. Retention of Personal Information
BCP retains personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, provide requested services, maintain appropriate business and financial records, resolve disputes, protect our legitimate interests and comply with legal, regulatory, accounting and other obligations.
Retention periods vary depending on the nature and purpose of the information.

Withdrawal of consent to marketing communications will not prevent BCP from sending necessary transactional or service-related communications.

BCP has designated a Privacy Officer responsible for overseeing privacy matters and responding to privacy inquiries and requests.

BCP maintains procedures designed to identify, assess, respond to and manage privacy and security incidents.

BCP's websites and online services are intended primarily for adults.
